Maybe yo...Krissy, I am glad that you are both home. Maybe you both can celebrate the holidays now! Anyhow, the little town next to ours in Woodbridge, Virginia was always decorated lavishly in an old fashioned way for Christmas the week before Thanksgiving. Remember Occoquan? Sometimes I would take you and your sisters down there on Thanksgiving?! You must have forgotten...I know Occoquan like a lot of small towns across the US decorate early and have festivities throughout the holiday season; where does this money come from to finance it? The local Merchants Association. Once in awhile County Governments, not usually though. In the next small town here, (Solomons, Maryland) a local restaurant had served up Thanksgiving for the homeless and anyone who wants to attend can come for free! Although the "Lighthouse Inn", burnt to the ground recently, the tradition will still be carried on! The owner is still cooking at another restaurant on loan, until he gets his new place." God bless America, and all of her warm fuzzy towns!"Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2779594718572241463.post-55732221744557505692006-11-21T19:13:00.000-05:002006-11-21T19:13:00.000-05:00so glad you are both home:) just in time for Thank...so glad you are both home:) just in time for Thanksgiving:) what are your plans? staying home or going out? have a good week

DebAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2779594718572241463.post-35062529213467034082006-11-21T19:21:00.000-05:002006-11-21T19:21:00.000-05:00So happy to hear you are both home, and wishing yo...So happy to hear you are both home, and wishing you a wonderful thanksgiving holiday together. I'll bet it was real pretty when the Christmas decorations were colorful in the snow! Reminds me of back home when I was little. Our town does that too a little, but it's not the same with chirtmas decorations hanging from palm trees! It's neat though, because alot of homes go all out with whole villages and 'fairy tale' type things in their yards, and it's a lot of fun going for drives to see them. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving, and that John will be less in pain!
