Monday Morning Question

Monday Morning Question:

This question was submitted by Heather of Singing With My Heart......

What is your favorite part abourt journaling and why?  Whether online or offline.

My Answer:  If you would have asked me this question when I started my journal over a year ago, I would have said that it was the cathartic effect I got from journaling.  Writing in my journal was a way to get out my feelings and thoughts.

It was also a way for me to practice my writing skills.

Now my favorite thing about journaling is the friends that I am in contact with on a daily basis.  We have become a part of each others lives.  Yes, being in contact with friends, and sharing our lives together has clearly become the most important thing about journaling to me.

  2. My favorite part of journaling is different for both my journals,  with my private journal, that reason is more like my paper journal at more.  I begin to write about somethng and as I write and write I end up in a different direction and find out that something was really bothering me.  It's odd but I find out so much about myself and what's going on in my head and with my feelings.  With the journal jar my favorite part of that journal is learning about all my readers.
    Great question Krissy!

  3. My favourite part of journalling is reading others journals which make you think. Sometimes they give you a whole new outlook on life and other times it is reassuring to read others entries and realise the world has still got a lot of good people in it!! We tend to watch the news and think there is only bad going on in the world. It's good to know there are still a lot of fine people out there!

  14. Sharing the good and beautiful things in life and occasionally the bad. Learning about other peoples cultures, being able to be a little creative and most of all - you lovely journalling folks. I have made so many friends. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, all of you, for giving back my faith in human nature.

  16. Well, that is so tough to answer.  I guess if I HAD to pick something, my biggest thrill with journaling is having an OUTLET to express my bottled up emotions about work, home, my feelings, and just to be able to write out what happened in my day.
The rewards from it were some things that I had NEVER expected:
    1) Friends
    2) Fun with photography
    3) Family being able to keep up with us LOL.
    4) Friends being able to keep up with us LOL.
    5) Collecting Graphics
    6) MAKING Graphics.  (I'd never heard of PSP til journals)

It's just sooooo awesome.  Hard to find a favorite in all of that.  It's just a thrill to journal.

  17. Yes, the comments you get from readers is the biggest reward. I have the comments on alerts, and they pop up in front of me, no mtter what I am doing, as soon as they are posted.  i love that.
And people comment about anything.  I reported that I am sleeping in a different bed and people showed they were interested in even that.
And who was the first to comment, you may ask.  It was Krissy. My soulmate.
