monday morning question -- What is the most unique or interesting thing in your purse or wallet?

Photobucket

A lady's purse is notorious for having everything in it but the kitchen sink. I bet you can find a number of interesting items in your purse. But I only want you to name one. What is the most interesting or unique item in your purse? Men, this question is for you also. How about telling us something interesting in your wallet?

Okay, off to scrounge through my purse for my answer!
The most interesting item in my purse is a job description I picked up recently for employment that was listed at my local college. I figured I might do a little part-time work now that John is getting healthier (well, sort of) , and as I was reading the job description, I figured the job couldn't be too difficult. It basically entails getting paid for eating at a local eatery, and then reporting on how the food tastes. I think I can handle getting paid while eating healthy food for free. That's like getting paid twice! The employer needs several people for the job, per the job description I have in my purse, so I'd better call soon before the jobs are all taken! ~ krissy :)

Now it's your turn. What's of most interest in your purse or wallet?

Please leave your answer in the comment section below. Or you can post your answer in your blog, and we'll check it out if you leave a link.

  1. My gosh, Krissy ~ I must have the most boring purse in the world! The most interesting thing I have in my purse is a small page magnifier that fits in my wallet. Blessings, Penny

  2. Not unusual but my camera is most always in my purse. You never know when a photo opportunity might come along. Hope you get the job. Sounds great. And it is great to see the Monday Morning questions today. Glad John is better!!!

  3. I'm like MA, even before I read her comment, my answer was MY CAMERA.... it's ALWAYS in my purse!! And I LOVE taking pics of all my friends!! = )

  4. Walking to go look in my purse... I'm lucky I cleaned it out recently. LOL My purse is quite empty, so I would say perhaps the pocket rosary you gave me recently might be the strangest, or most unique thing in my purse. I don't really have anything that odd in my purse. I also have an almost empty bag of Jelly Bellys. Not too interesting, but that is all I could come up with. Catch me in six months ;-). Great question! xoxox

  5. Guess I'll be one of those odd, unique people, but I keep a small can of air freshener in my purse so clear the air when I go into some of the stores restrooms. I've heard people coming in saying gee this place smells nice, they just don't realize I contributed to it. LOL.

So nice to get an update on how John is doing and how you are also doing dear. You both are always in my thoughts and prayers. Take care.

  6. I keep an air pressure gauge in my purse. Is that odd enough?

  7. @Penny -- you are not boring!

@MA and @JoAnn -- you ladies have inspired me to always keep my camera on me. I can't count the number of times I have bemoaned, "If only I had my camera! That would have made a spectacular shot!"

@Valerie -- a pocket rosary is a very interesting item! And the one I gave you is very unique and beautiful!

@Arlene and @Barbara -- Okay, ladies, you two are tied for first place for the most unique items! I don't know which is more unique -- carrying air freshner to freshen up store restrooms, or carrying an air pressure gauge in your purse! Perhaps after everyone has answered this question, we'll have a poll for most unique item found in purse or wallet!

  10. Hope I am not too late in posting my answer. I think it's my a roll on hand sanitizer. (For those public restrooms, sometimes you have to use.)

You said one, awwwww, I have more, not sure that ANY of my stuff is interesting. Photos of my grandsons, in a photo book. Extra money hidden in a secret place (just in case I ever need it) & also an extra pair of glasses in case my lens should fall out of the ones I am wearing. Sometimes it's my sunglasses, but other times just another pair of glasses, that are not my favorite.

Thanks for asking me this Monday Morning Question! It is like old times to get this from you, Krissy! I hope you get that job. And I am glad John is better. You are both always in my prayers and I love you, Krissy.

  14. okay, I have one more odd thing in my purse. It came in the mail yesterday and I tucked it in my wallet. It is a coupon for a free pair of Victoria Secret underwear. LOL Valy xox

  15. Pulling everything out of my purse. The most unique thing would have to be a huge hair clip. Why you ask? I am bald as a blue jay! Chemo treatments made my hair fall out.But the clip give me hope for long hair again in the future :)

  16. I suppose the most interesting thing in my wallet would be the two cards showing the lens size for my cataracts that I am supposed to carry with me at all times.
I hope you get that job. Helen

  18. Oh, you all have such good answers!
I think we'll really have this poll with the most interesting and unique items!

@Linda -- A tape measure. Ok, I'm putting you in for an "unusual nomination" for when we have our poll! What do you plan on measuring, LOL, when you are out at the market?

@Tom -- I think you'll have to be nominated for the poll also, Mr. Tom, as business cards with "Bible Student" on them is quite interesting!

@Merry -- Hi Merry! I'm nominating you also to be in our poll this week which we will have for the most unusual purse or wallet item! I have seen sanitizer, but NEVER roll-on hand sanitizer! Where did you get it? I have to get me some!

@salemslot9 -- You slay me! A coin you inherited from your Dad that says "heads I win" on one side, and "tails you lose" on the other? LOL. You're in the running in our poll this week for the most unusual item in a purse...

@Linda -- You don't carry a purse? Eegads! You can't be in our poll for most unique item in purse, but i'll tell you what, i'll give you honorable mention just for being able to get away with not carrying a purse, LOL. You and the other ladies who are accomplishing this get an honorable mention! :)

    ReplyDelete
  19. @Annonymous Patty -- Is money unique? Well not really. Money is kind of interesting bc you can by lots of interesting things w it, however. Don't know that it's going to make the poll for the most unique item, however. sorry...

@Valerie -- a coupon for a pair of Victoria Secret underwear! That is a quite unique item, LOL, but it's your second answer, so we will have to think about whether or not we can let it be in the poll as a unique item. Let me think about it. Also, this is a family friendly site, Val, and we don't usually talk about underwear on here, however, we can say that we wear underwear as we all know we do -- and I'm sure you're not going to show your new underwear to anybody!

@Carol -- Your item is the most touching of all the items. Makes me want to cry, yet gives me hope and makes me want to be happy all at the same time. I'm full of emotions, as you know my husband is a cancer survivor, and still fighting off complications from two cancers. There is lots of hope, baby girl. There is more than hope, there is definite surviving then thriving. You can beat this! I'm waiting to see your beautiful hair again. We will enter your answer in our poll of "interesting and unique items in a purse" we will be having later this week.

@Helen -- Not sure why cataracts need a card, but perhaps you could come back to the comments section and explain it to us, LOL. Anyway, you have now been nominated for the poll for one of the most "interesting and unique items in a purse."

@morton -- I am entering your "caregiver card" into our poll of most unique things in a purse or wallet. we will be having the poll later this week. everybody will get to vote!

  21. Free Movie and Free Popcorn Tickets from Regal Cinema. I show them my card everytime I go and get points towards candy and movies. It really pays off...and to think I was told nothing is for FREE. Well, next time I go to the movies its free. Ha! :)

  22. I would have to say the most unusual thing I have in my purse right now is a plastic model of a baby 11-12 weeks in utero. Little "Joey" reminds me to pray often for an end to abortion and a greater respect for human life in our society. He gives me hope. :-)

  23. @Ally -- A diary which dates back 37 years! W/ notes such as when you passed your driving test and when you lost your poodle Lu Lu. That is definitely unique. You're in the poll!

@Amy -- A 11 week old plastic model of a baby in utero named "Joey." That's cool and exciting! You and Baby Joey are in the poll!

  24. @Latte Dah -- free popcorn and free movie tickets. Now that's unique. As you stated, we are often told nothing in this world is free. Enjoy your movie and popcorn! I'll put you in the poll.

  25. My original Social Security card issued to me in the mid 50's. When I retired they offered to replace it with a new one, but since it was so old I decided to keep it with me as an artifact.

  26. @DB You're in the poll! I don't know of anybody who has their original Social Security card today, and esp one that dates back to the 1950s. :)

  27. Hi Krissy and John. I honestly do not have anything to add to the interesting and humorous answers I read from everyone that entered the question for Monday. I have to keep at my building so that it is enclosed for the winter. My worker and I have made very good progress this summer in the intense heat and humidity. It is also a drought here and crops have failed throughout Illinois. I hope my spruce tree I planted years ago will survive as it has lost most of it needles and has lost many limbs. I had to remove some roots for my porch concrete but it was doing well until this past week when it started shedding its needles. It has some green left though so I hope it will regain it's vigor next year. Salty is doing well. I visited my Mom and family for the first time in 6 years when my Mom came to N. Illinois from Texas and I drove up which is a 6+ hour drive. I have to get to working by myself right now and keep at it as I am slow. mark/salty

  29. HI Krissy!! I finally found my way back to your blog!! I'm asking myself how we became disconnected. Life is just busy. I'm still running into folks from JLand and it's always a delight when I find one!! As for what's in my purse....the most interesting thing I'm carrying is an old fashioned key to turn the mantle clock my husband inherited from his mom's passing. I actually forgot it was in my purse until this entry. It's been there for a few months now.

  31. the most unique thing I have in my purse is a travel sized Charmin-To-Go toilet paper. Never know when you're sitting there in a store bathroom and notice there's no toilet paper (which OF COURSE only happens after you've peed)...

  32. I voted, Krissy! All of them were interesting, to say the least. It was hard to pick just one.

  34. Krissy I dont know why but I did post a comment and it said error cant post, so I shall try again, lol.

Always with me wherever I go in my purse on my keychain is a St. Christopher medal that was my Dad's he was a long distance truck driver and carried that wherever he went to keep him safe. When he died, I put it on my keychain and it goes with me wherever I travel to protect me on my journeys and I always know that my Dad goes with me keeping me safe.

This is not unique to most but to many Canadians it could be so. I always carry American money with me and my American Cheque book. Often I jaunt over to Buffalo to catch a bargain and always want to be prepared so my American money travels with me always, lol. Thank you for posting such an interesting question, so many varied answers.
