Would you like to be a reader?

Hi!  Just wanted everyone to know that the Monday Morning Question will be hosted by Val at There is a Season.  The Photo Scavenger Hunt postings will be there also.  So will next week's topic for the Photo Hunt.  Please stop by Val's journal!  Thanks Val for helping me out with this while I am with John as he gets his hospital care.

I just wanted to say that I noticed that this journal looks like it is turning into a medical journal.  I never wanted it to be that way.  I want to talk about some cheery things sometimes too!  I don't want to go into so much detail about John's illness here.  While I want to keep everybody informed, I also don't want to go into full detail.  Just the highlights when something really important happens.  So what I was thinking was that I would go back to writing more about John's MDS in the private journal.  So I wanted to invite whoever is not a reader of my private journal, John's Journey With MDS, to let me know, so I can add them as a reader.   Just leave a comment below saying you would like to be added as a reader and I will add you.

Well gotta run.  Day Hospital comes early.  Night night.  Krissy :)

  4. Hi Krissy I wanted to say there is no wrong way to share a journal what you may think is boring or wrong may be just what someone needs answered. When i first became a cancer victim i shared but only with those who i put on a private list then in a cancer support room eventually AOL closed those and i found that those who were helping me or me them ended up going elsewhere./ But at the time it was one of the most wonderful things to just share.
I think of all the wonderful entries you have entertained me with and i must say every day you are there for me to share in your day i enjoy it and hope you will just be you . Thanks as always for your timely entries and for making one day a little brighter. have a great day and always be yourself.. Aaron

  5. Krissy,
John's illness is part of your life - I'm not adding the word "unfortunately". It has changed what's happened in your world, and to a very large extent. What happens to John's medical condition has an impact on you as well. Don't apologise for telling that story. I'll continue to check out John's Journey with MDS as well. Take care

  6. It's raining. again. In UK we have a water shortgage....I reckon The Man is answering a few prayers. I volunteer with the National Trust, that being an organisation that preserves buildings, gardens, coast lines etc for the nation. Yesterday saw me at a place called Mount Stewart, Northern Ireland's flagship estate containing a beautiful house with an impressive collection of Stubb's paintings (the guy who painted race horses) and a fantastic garden that you can spend a couple of miles and hours walking around. This weekend it was the garden and craft fair. Yours truly was on the gate..directing visitors along. For four hours it was fine, if not a tad chilly. The next five hours it rained...and rained...and got heavier...and we all got wetter...and colder. Come 4pm the visitors had stopped arriving so i took a quick wander around the stalls and got a coffee to warm my hands up...did the trick. Headed over to the gardeners and spent the next few hours crating up plants to return to the nursery. Finally, one table of plants remained. The swop shop table. You bring a plant, and swop it for another. No cash involved. The gardeners talked about composting them. Then it was suggested they were given to the staff....that got an "umm"...then it was suggested the volunteers got one...that got a silence.  After a short think..I said brightly..well chaps..my old bones are cold...so I'm away home..byee. And stomped off to my car muttering uncharitable things about registered charities. Such meanies...sigh...I reckon one plant for 8 hours unpaid work would not have been such a raw deal for them. Am I being moany? Guess i am lol. Still...i met some nice people, which is what does it for me, plus a lady from work who is fast becoming a good pal...was great to see her, meet her daughter Kristen (lovely name) and her husband. Thinking of you. xx

  9. You can't really choose your reality.  Right now your life IS like a medical journal!  I enjoy reading about your life, regardless of what that may bring, from day to day.  Don't feel bad for not writing about the "cheery" things you think you should be writing; your attitude, in spite of all the hardship you have been experiencing constitutes cheery, believe it or not.  You never sound helpless, or hopeless, or angry.  You are amazing...Jae

  10. Happy Anniversary John and Kristy!!  It's just your first?  Aww...the first is always so sweet! Darrell and I will have our 12th this year, and it always feels like the first!  Just stay happy in each other...no matter the circumstances!  I think your other journal is the one I have. I just came across this one in Pennys comments.

That was cute about the cards.  I got Darrell the same one two years in a row. He got this funny look on his face when he opened it. Then he took off to the bedroom (where he keeps all his cards in drawer) and came back laughing. Then he said "You reallly like that card don't you?" Why, I asked? "Because it's the same card you gave me last year!" He's about to crack up laughing. Only Darrell! What other man would even know what his gift was last year, much less pay that much attention to the card! I'm a very lucky lady!  Well, Hallmark shouldn't have the same cards over and over, that's all I can say!!

Wishing you both the very best, I keep you both in my prayers.
    Blessings
    Darlene
