I'm back/ I graduated from OT

I just finished an entry and it was promptly eaten somehow.  I am too tired to rewrite the entry (lucky you!), so I will just quickly recap.  I have been offline since my computer suddenly stopped working on Saturday night.

To make a long story short Verizon fixed my service a short time ago.  So I'm back.

I'm happy as a clam.

Another reason I'm happy is I finished my Occupational Therapy on Friday.

I have been working hard at OT to unfreeze my shoulder for three months.  My Orthopedic Physican says I must work on my shoulder, continuing to do the exercises at home, for three more months.

That's how long it takes to get my arm working normally - three months at therapy and three additional months at home. That's six months!

The Orhopedic Physician is going to check me once a month and make sure I am making process.  If I do not have regular function of the shoulder and arm within three months from now, I will have to have the surgery.  Yikes.

It is good that I won't have to go in for appointments anymore, but the therapists were keeping me on my toes.  Now that I have to do exercises at home, I must be diligent.

Discipline, Girl, discipline!

Love you all, Krissy :)

  1. Im sure you will be diligent.

  2. Woo hoo the computer is fixed!
now get off the computer and go do your exercises, lol....
    Linda :)

  3. Well, good news on two fronts!  Well, almost good news on one ... I do hope you can keep up with your exercises at home and avoid the surgery.  ;)

  4. glad you are back Krissy and glad you are done with OT (thank you Lord); do keep up with those exercises; we'll "nag" you to do them from time to time to make sure you are :)

YOU BETTER STICK WITH IT! IT's hard to get out of routine! I know you can do it!

Stick with it, and be careful with it.   Hope you had a nice Father's Day Sunday!!

  7. Hi Krissy, I'm sorry but I don't recall why your shoulder got so stiff. Maybe you could jolt my memory a little? Anyway, I am glad you are doing well with the OT. I hope you continue to do the necessary exercises at home. I know it's easy to say "Oh..I'll do it later." Just be very strict on yourself. Make a schedule and stick to it. Good luck!

  8. Sorry your shoulder is still bad- Mine is the same but less pain. It wil never be back the way it should but I can live with it! Dannelle

  9. Sounds like John is now going to have to oversee your therapy excercises.  Happy as a clam at high tide...that's the way it should be.   Hope you had a good weekend.  Linda in WA
