Delicious! When I make a fruitcake I soak the fruit in cold tea overnight, makes it plump and juicy! Jeannette. http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels
A doorstop, a good gift for someone you dislike (unless it is Ariel!), a waste of good ingredients, a good paperweight, apparently a tasty treat for the Monday Morning question writer (why don't I like it if my siblings do??), something to feed your dog, duck food...xox http://journals.aol.com/valphish/ValsThoughts
I like fruitcake but then everyone made such fun of it I was too embaressed to eat it, now it's just too expensive, but I would eat it if someone gave it to me or brought it to a party... Linda :)
I've never had fruitcake, though my Confirmation sponser and neighbor makes one for my grandma every year since she is one of few who eats it! I'd like to try some though, just to say I did. Kellen http://journals.aol.com/love2sing2007/FaithinRomanCatholicism
I enjoy any sweets so I would say delicious. Sometimes they are a bit dried out from the store, so I will qualify that with a homemade is delicious, and the store bought may function as a doorstop. mark
LOL, it is Already Friday and I am just now answering. Well, It is a love/hate thing. I really didn't know there were so many different kinds of fruit cake. I LOVE it if it has TONS of NUTS. Kate
Although I've been told from time to time that I'm "As nutty as a fruitcake" I've never been able to enjoy these delicacies. I prefer to eat the nuts and fruits seperately along with a brimming sniffer of B&B (Brandy and Benadictine) HIC! ....SO.... doorstop.
Wishing you and JOhn all the best on the upcoming surgery. Prayers keepa coming your way. Michael

Hi, I'm Krissy. I'm just your average girl. I love blogging, Twitter, almost all Social Media, digital photography, fundraising to fight cancer, designing and making jewelry, watching Claymation Christmas specials -- just working hard and playing hard! I also love my husband John, and maine coon cat Michael. But most of all I love Jesus...

Mine is delicious! I wrap it in cheesecloth soaked in peach brandy! Every couple of days I spray some more brandy on it.
