What drives you batty? Okay, a minor irritation I mean.
Somebody cutting in line. So I am wanting my turn. And I am thinking, "Who does this person think they are, thinking they are more important than me, that they should cut in front of me, and not wait their fair turn?" Silly perhaps, but I think it.
Now what drives you batty? Put your answer in the comment section below or put your answer in your journal and leave a link to it in the comment section below. Krissy :)
What drives me batty is when I have to shop after work in my uniform and even though I have taken off my name badge and I have my purse in my cart people think because I work there I should let them get in front of me....when I am looking at something first, in line, and one guy almost ran over me in the parking lot because he thought since I worked there he should have the right of way even though I was walking to my car! oops now you got me started!!! Barbara
ReplyDeleteWhat drives me batty? People who insist on barging on board a train or bus, without letting people off first.
ReplyDeleteHi Krissy, when I hold a door open for someone and they don`t say thank you or even acknowledge you. There`s no excuse for bad manners....grrr! Have a great day. :o)

1) PEOPLE NOT WATCHING THEIR KIDS. I KNOW IT SOUNDS DUMB BUT IF THE KID GETS HURT PLAYING ACROSS THE STORE THE PARENT WANTS TO SUW THE STORE OR MAKE A BIG FUSS. GRR THAT MAKES ME MAD.
ReplyDelete2) RUDE PEOPLE IN GENERAL THEY DONT WATCH WHERE THEY ARE GOING DONT SAY EXCUSE ME OR I AM SORRY FOR RUNNING YOU OVER WITH THEIR SHOPPING CART.

Dear Krissy, A person who cuts into a line without permission of everyone in the line is a thief of the worse kind. This person is stealing other peoples' time, and therefore part of their life. The sum total of the crime depends upon the degree to wich each person values that time. Dadeo. . . If people put no value on their time, there is no harm done, but the time thief shoud not have the right to make a unilateral evaluation . . . but time thiefs are usually ultra selfish people.
ReplyDeleteKrissy,
ReplyDeleteI haven't had someone cut me since I was in school... I am sorry that you have... I think I would have to trip them!! lol
be well,
Dawn
Hey there -- thanks for the howdy on my new blog! I'll be checking in periodically...
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say that what drives me the most insane at the moment would be: loud people. People that have no respect for the peace of their neighbors drive me completely around the twist, and there's no helping them, either.

here's my answer. Barbara
ReplyDeleteYou may have opened a can of worms here Krissy. LOLOL I have several things that just make me insane. LOL I dislike gumpoppers. I realize we all do it occasionally but constantly. UGH. One of my biggest pet peeves is people just STOP in the middle of an aisle say in Walmart or the supermarket so they can scan both sides. You cant get around them and they seem unconcerned they are holding you up then act peeved if you have the nerve to ask them to move. 3rd:15 items in the 10 or less. I'm sorry. What part of 15 minus 10 don't you understand. It doesn't mean about 10 items or less. Ya know? LOL Lastly then I'll get off my moral highhorse, is people talking on their cellphones who ARE NOT PAYING ATTENTION to their surroundings. I do NOT care if you talk on your cell till the cows come home. It's a CAR not a phonebooth! If you cannot pay attention to what you are doing, HANGUP. If you aren't going to watch the movie...LEAVE! I mean WHO are all these important people who cannot have a 3-5 min conversation then get off the phone?? What DID they do before cells??? Okay. I'm done. Thank you. Whew. I feel better. LOL You HAD to ask, didn't you. LOL Hugs, Barb
ReplyDeleteCELL PHONES drive me batty! What did people EVER do before they came on the scene?! What is so important that you need to wander around the grocery store chatting, that you need to talk through the previews in the movie theater on your cell phone...that your call is so IMPERATIVE that you cannot set it down for one second to greet the cashier who is waiting on you at the gas station..or that God Forbid, you need to CHAT ON YOUR PHONE in the bathroom stall!!???
ReplyDeleteYes, I have a cell phone, along with everyone else in the world. LOL. But, I don't talk on it in public if I can avoid it...or at least, I find a semi-private space. I think it's so rude, it just drives me nuts. I don't want to hear about how your Aunt Nettie has bunyons or how your son's teacher is getting fired. I don't wanna know! LMAO
Thanks for listening to my rant! Love the question!
HUGS

Thank you for asking this question. I feel so much better after venting. LOL Love, Kathy
ReplyDeleteI got a chance to play this time. Here's my answer:

Take care, Chrissie
Oh, irresponsible driving - especially driving while talking on a cell phone and not paying attention to the road. Impatient drivers, too. Bad drivers in general. Don't they know they are driving a killer machine????? Oh, don't get me started!! xox

P.S. Oh, and cutlery scraping together is one of my biggest pet hates!! I can be washing the pots and a knife will get stuck inbetween the prongs of the fork..ooh, it makes my skin crawl..lol! ;-)
Hi Krissy, I love your journal. Thank you for your comment in mine. Anyway, the thing that drives me nutsy-cuckoo is when the person who is driving in front of me is constantly hitting their brakes. Oooohh, I hate that.

Teachers who repeat things over and over and over and over and over drive me batty. Sometimes I think how stupid some people must be for them to have to repeat themselves as much as they do in such a short amount of time.
ReplyDeleteIt also bugs me when they don't erase everything on the board and there are still some marks left.
-Kellen
People who litter drive me nuts. They will sit and talk about how pretty a park or area is and then throw their garbage all over the ground. I have been known to stop and grab the garbage when I see someone throw it out of their window and follow them home so I could throw it on their lawn. Lazy people. Anyway, thats what drives me batty.
ReplyDeleteJulie
Shop assistants who carry on chatting to each other and ignore the customers really annoy me! And being kicked offline when you're halfway through writing a long email, or a journal entry. Great blog! Joanie x http://journals.aol.co.uk/symphonyuk/Alifemoreordinary/
ReplyDeleteWell thank you for lurker by my journal and leaving a comment. Now what drives me batty? Weak people, people that follow the train wreck all the way down. Example, my husband's ex-wife. Ugh that's enough about that. Once again thank you. I will be back, you are on my alerts now.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
I drive myself batty - keep laughing my dear friend.
ReplyDeleteLove Sylvia xxx
No, your irritation is not silly. It's also one that buggs me something awful.
ReplyDeleteOne time I went to get my hair cut. I was next on the list. This lady came in out of nowhere and because she was a friend of one of the stylists, she got to go next. I was so angry I was almost crying (I cry when I get that angry). I asked for a manager, told her what happened. She gave the stylist a look and comment like "you were wrong to do that".. and got someone to take me in right away.
I used to just tolerate that stuff, but this one time, it was like the last straw.
But my biggest irritation, since you were asking...
is when I first get to work, I"m not even settled yet.. and someone shows up with something for me to do. I love my job, but I'd like to at least be in my chair to do it.
What drives me batty is when I go to an ATM and I have to hit a button saying I want English. Hellllo.... Makesa me nuts! lol
