  3. My favorite sandwich is the same as yours, Krissy: a Reuben sandwich. Unfortunately, now that I have kidney damage, I can't have any Reuben sandwiches. The sauerkraut and corned beef simply have too much salt for my kidneys to handle. Drat! But I can't get too upset. Doing without Reuben sandwiches is much better than being on lifetime dialysis.

    Love you, John

  6. I love ruebens and wonder if it is genetic or being raised in our family? Ok now I have not had this since I was a kid, but mom used to buy pastrami you had to fry, so for me it would be those fried pastrami sandwhiches on rye... I give a mention to a steak sand, hot roast beef, and not to be forgotten a simple tomato sandwhich, which is another childhood thing, I resented them then but love and eat them now, thats a perfect ripe tomato, white bread or baggette, mayo (light helmens) and lots of salt and pepper... delish! I realize I gave way more then one sandwhich but I like so many lol ~ deirdre (kris's sister)

  13. I'm not a big sandwhich lover, but if I have to choose I guess I would pick a tomato sandwhich. Which makes me think of a neat story... Julia Child, when asked what dish she would like named after her when she passed away said this... I would like to be a tomato sandwhich slathered in Helmann's mayonnaise. A homegrown tomato. I saw this on TV. I busted out laughing. I just LOVED daddies homegrown tomatoes with Helmann's mayo. Mmmmm.... Love, Val xox

  18. @Lainey Laine, You asked what a Reuben sandwich was. It is a corned beef sandwich, topped with Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Thousand Island dressing, on rye bread! I've heard some put mayo on it. It's grilled where I live, usually in butter! It must include the exact ingredients, or its not a Reuben. It's almost always eaten with fries and cole slaw! Okay, gotta run now, I'm hungry. Wah, I can't go out and get one! It's snowing real hard outside!!! You've got to try it!

Now a question for you. What's a Marks and Spencers Prawn Mayo Sandwich? I'm imagining that's those big old shrimp like things in mayo? Can you explain? Are those big old shrimp thingies chopped up? I'd be scared to look at them, LOL! And what's the difference between a prawn and a shrimp? I have never heard of Mark and Spencers until someone in the UK mentioned them. Are you in the UK? Thanks for answering all my questions, LOL!
