Monday Morning Question:
What was one of your first crushes? Tell us about it.
When I was in sixth grade there ws this boy named Kenny. He was both dreamy and intelligent! So I decided to take the initiative and call him up one day. "Hello?" he said when he picked up the phone. "Hello," I said back. "This is Krissy," I said. "What would you like?" he asked. "I don't know," I replied. "Bye," he said. "Bye," I replied and hung up the phone. So much for that romance, and for my conversational skills for that matter!
Now tell us about one of your crushes!
my first crush was a lad called Gary, i was 10 years old and totally in love with him!! when we turned 12, we shared our first kiss, just before i moved away from the area,,, so no continuation there! next i heard of him was front page news in local paper, he was one of the first lads in our area killed out in the Gulf war!! It was heartbreaking, i had not seen him for 8 yrs, but it hurt me, he was a beautiful boy!

my first crush has to be Donny Osmond. I can remember me and a friend actually fighting over a tiny picture of him we found in a magazine. I still say he had a gorgeous smile...........Jules xxxxxx

His name was Christopher and we were both 5yrs old. He was blonde and great fun to be with AND we were going to get married. One day we went off on our bikes without telling our parents, when we got home our mothers were in tears and about to call the police ! We were `together` for about 2 yrs before his family moved house and I never saw him again, though I`ve never forgotten him to this day.......... Sandra
ReplyDeleteMy first real crush was when I was in the 6th grade. His name was Jimmy. He sat next to me and we did alot of that looking at each other but when we caught eachother we would look away. One day he asked me to the dance that was coming up and although I wasn't allowed to really date I said yes.. he asked me in the gym and just after I said yes he took off running over to his friends and slipped and fell ..hitting his head into the bleachers. It was horrible! Poor guy. I wonder where he is now??

PS...I've got nothing to tell. I played with dolls until I was 13. Boring kid. LOL!
My first crush - Paul Cobbin :o)
ReplyDeleteI lurved him!
I was 13, he was maybe 15.
He never knew I existed, but I carried a picture of him - cut out of the local paper - around with me for the longest time!! I wrote his name all over pieces of paper, which I still have!
Loved your story, how cute is that!!

I remember it clearly.. my cousin Jonny. : ) I was 5 he was going into colllage. He was tall dark and handsome. When visting grandma.. I helped set the table and always made sure to set his place next to mine. LOL Imagin my heart break when he got married? hehehe... and imagin my embarassment remembering he was my first crush and seeing him now all old with a touch of grey with a family of his own.
ReplyDeleteSecond grade. Nicholas Silco. I had a "fantasy" of meeting him at the door of our fourth grade class room and we'd kiss. Yes, there was that dreamy pink/gold glow around us in this daydream. I was so naive then! Flash forward seven years from that crush: I'm grappling with love vs. like and haven't thought about Nick since the fourth grade. Oh, and I still haven't gotten that first kiss.

Well, let's see....I had a crush on the boy across the street growing up, his name was Michael. We would peek out the curtains in the picture windows of each of our houses and wave or play hide and peek in the windows. I still wonder where he is now, I've heard California --- and I have always liked the name Michael! He was 6 years older than me though!!! LOL!
ReplyDeleteMy first crush was the boy who lived accross the road from me. He was SO cute and had a mothorcycle and he was 4 years older than I was. I tried everything I could to get his attention when I was a kid. And that is exactly what i was to him...A little kid. He didn't pay me any mind. UNTIL years later my mother showed him a Glamour Shots pic of me and he was interested! lol To bad, so sad.
ReplyDeleteI'd try to ride a mothercycle better than him. I'd dance in my doorway facing his house. I go over to "borrow" stuff from his mom. Just to get his attention. My mom and dad tell EVERYONE to this day, how I danced in the doorway to the song "Donnig What Comes Naturally" fromt he movies "Annie get You Gun". They gt a kick telling that story.
He had a motorcycle accident when he was about 19 and I cried and cried. He never married but I hear he wasn't in too good shape. In other words, he wasn't such a cutie as a man.

Let's see. 2nd grade I believe it was, Chris (I forget his last name now), He asked me if I liked him in the coat closet. Never noticed him before. I guess I did after that. I wanted to write him a "love poem". Couldn't figure out what to write so I copied a song out of a song book. Oh, how creative I was, LOL, but I was too scared to give it to him! First of many crushes...
ReplyDeleteHey, why are you thinking about this this morning, Krissy :-).. so sweet! xox

my first crush was on a farmer that lived up the road from me. We used to sit together on the bus (I was in 4th grade) and he gave me a troll but his mom would never let him spend time with me like at a birthday or anything because she felt that boys should NEVER play with girls.. needless to say we saw each other grow up and still don't talk...

You were definitely more gusty than I... I would get the nerve to call, then just listen to them say hello a few times then hang up. Thank God there wasn't any caller ID back then!

My first crush was a lad named John Pearson, who I believe lived in Wendover at the time. He attended the same school as me in Aylesbury and worked for the local paper when he left. Can't even remember what he looked like now, except he was fair haired.
