I'm feeling so behind!

Well, another day has past.  And I still feel so far behind!  When am I going to catch up?!  Being with John in Hershey while he had the stem cell transplant has sure left me behind in so many things.  The past few days I have felt really overwhelmed.  What happened to my positive attitude?  I am sure it will come back...

John is doing OK.  He has actually managed to stay out of the hospital for two weeks, praise God!  Dr. Claxton in Hershey is concerned about him though.  He is concerned that John may have a viral infection or something because he needs to be transfused so frequently.  So Dr. Claxton's nurse called John on Friday and told him to come in for an appointment on Nov. 3.  During that time Dr. Claxton will also decide if John will get more chemo treatments (Rituxin) to try to stop the Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (so that he won't have to have transfusions anymore).

I have mixed feelings about John having chemo but I am sure that his oncologist will decide the right thing.  Actually if it will help John, then I am for it.  It's just scary because he has had chemo 39 times so far.  He says it affects his thinking.  But I am for it if it works.

Okay, enough about that subject!  I am so excited about the holidays coming up.  I have a few projects I am working on, and I am real excited about them!  More on that later.  I have to have a little mystery in my life, right?  You will know soon enough!  Anyway, Christmas is such a beautiful time.  My favorite part is of course the birth of the Lord.
And there is so much charity and cheerfulness that usually goes along with Christmastime!  And so much fun!  I can't wait.  I gotta make sure I pace myself though, LOL...

Okay, until tomorrow then, nitey nite, Krissy :)

  4. Hi hon, so sorry I've not been by in awhile. Like you, I got behind. I keep John in prayer - you too. I know it is very hard for you, emotionally - as well as mentally, draining. You've got a lot of  people behind you, lifting the two of you up in prayer. Never forget that - or how dear you are to us all.

  9. Everything will wait very nicely for you.  Right now just do what is needed.  You do have a lot going on.  Yes it is nice to think about the Holidays coming.  Can't wait to see what your mystery is. I'll pray for you both as always and also for wisdom for the doctors caring for John.  Don't forget the 'One Day at a Time' rule. That way you won't feel so overwhelmed.  'On Ya' - ma

  10. Krissy, I don't think I have been by yet to congratulate you on all your nominations this year. You deserve them! I'm glad John has been getting better, and my prayers are with him as he continues to battle this cancer. You are a good wife, and you are both blessed to be together in this life, to care for each other, and to live in the Lord. Have a wonderful Sunday and a great week. Bea

  21.  You know, I have found the things I really have to do will wait for you and if they don't you really didn't need to do them.   Pacing yourself if the key and don't beat yourself up if you can't do everything you think you need to do.   Have you ever noticed, maybe it just me LOL, that I gladly give up the housework first?  Take care Krissy, you and John are in many peoples prayers.

  23. you will be ok Krissy, just take it slow and pace yourself. There is no rush. and just remember you need a little "me" time When John is taken care of and maybe napping, instead of rushing to try to do a million and one things, sit down for 15 minutes with a cup of coffee or tea and just look out the window and enjoy the things you see. I know what your feeling, I've been through it as you know. that "me" time is very important. My prayers are with you and John always. ((((((((((hugs))))))))

  24. You may think you have lost your positive attitude, but I don't see that at all!  I think you are finally relaxing just a bit, and it has become so foreign to you, you are wondering what you are feeling!   As far as feeling overwhelmed...I don't know anyone who wouldn't be overwhelmed after everything you have been throughI  I am sometimes shocked at how you have dealt with everything for so long, and have never given in to all the stress and worry.  Again, you are finally breathing a little slower, and have just exited that 'on pins and needles' way of living.  You are doing great, in my opinion!  Really great.  I sure hope that John can stop having the transfusions very soon...Jae

  26. I can bet you are feeling behind.  You have had so much going on lately, that is not part of a normal day.  Hopefully, things are starting to calm down and you are having some time to get back on track.

  27. Hi Krissy- I sure do hope that John will get whatever is necessary for him to get better!  I'm praying that his doctors will have God's wisdom in all of this, that they will know what to do.  I hope you're taking care of yourself through this too!  You need to stay strong and healthy for him too!  I'm looking forward to Christmas too.  It's my favorite time of the year (next to Easter!)  I need to get through Thanksgiving forst though to really get in the mood!  Have a Blessed week!  Carolyn
