I sit here at Hope Lodge without my own computer, hence without my own documents/pictures. So I don't have my Monday Morning Question graphic. But I figured we would all survive anyway, and recognize this as the Monday Morning Question! So here goes:
Turnips with butter, salt and pepper OR beef liver?
My answer: The turnips please. I had them growing up and they were delicious!
I have also had the beef liver. A friend of mine made me a sandwich with a really big slab of beef liver. It was too rich, and was gross!
Which is your delicacy of choice? Krissy :)
I need to try turnips again it has been years since I ate them and didn't care for them. My tastes have changed a lot over the years so I may love them now. However I know that I love beef liver had some last week yummy.

ReplyDeletepatty
Turnips... blech! <LOL>
ReplyDeleteBut, as for the graphic... Krissy, if the graphic is hosted on Photobucket (and I checked the properties on the last one and it was), you should be able to use it no matter what computer you are using. The easiest way would be to go to the earlier entry, right click on the graphic and choose the copy the url. Then just click on the little camera thingy and enter the url! Easy Peasy!

Oh, and when you right click it will say something like "Copy Image Location" instead of url (although that is what you are copying <LOL>).

neither for me... When I was pregnant I craved liver.. beef liver most of all. Can't stand it normally, but wanted it all the time when I was pregnant. Odd. Afterwards I didn't like it anymore.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have ever tried turnips as an adult but I didn't like them as a child ... but maybe I should give them a try since there are other things I hated as a child that I like now.
Love to you!
Promise
I made turnips a few months back... boiled them, buttered them, and smashed them like potatoes... I think I used a little butter milk also. Not as good as I recall as a child but still good. Did I love them as a kid? yep mmmmm lol I cant eat Liver eeewwwwwww but a good pate' once in a great while is good on a cracker. Not the same sort of thing though, and how about liverwurste? now thats good also... so I guess for me no to a big cows liver, yes to turnips as I said and tell your husband john and yourself I send my love.

I like both turnip needs sugar too and the beef liver must be fried in onions, and the sandwhich...yuk
ReplyDeleteI would NOT eat turnips unless it was under the threat of starvation or death. Same goes for beef liver. That is NASTY STUFF! I refused to eat it as a child and I refuse to eat it now! Boy, you guys have different tastes! (I wouldn't cook it in my house either! The Brat Merry merry1621
ReplyDeleteTurnips, definitely turnips. I love all vegetables, and there is only one things in the world that I hate and cannot stomach one bit...liver..ugh. If everything tasted like liver, I'd be a total slim mint...lol. Love ya, Chris
ReplyDeleteI cannot even recall what turnips taste like except maybe bland but anything with butter is enhanced with calories, lol. Beef liver would be OK with onions I suppose if I were invited to dinner but I wouldn't buy it myself. If I am hunger I will eat either if put in front of me. mark
ReplyDeleteNeither for me please--I'll pass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy that john was discharged today.
ReplyDeleteI vote for the liver. Good protein.
