  4. My Mum taught me to be a good and loving Mother.
I don't mean this to sound nasty, we are good friends now, but she was not the best Mother so I learnt not to do the things she did, and to definately do the things she didn't!!  Right now, she is teaching me through her actions.  She is being so strong, as her life changes completely and her world falls apart.  I hope I can learn this from her.

Wow this is a hard one.
I guess it was  "treat others as you would  like to be treated "

I guess she taught it to me by example by the way we were treated as kids. AWEFULL !! Through that I knew I didn't want to treat peole how she treated me.

Do I sound a little bitter here ?...............................Kasey

  7. my mum taught me that I was loved and how to love back. She taught me how to laugh and how to cry and to be there for others whilst they cry. I love my mum even though she passed away 16 years ago and miss her so much.........Jules xx

  15. Oh let's see, respect for my elders, especially parents--most of whom sacrificed most of their lives for us and did the best they could raising us given the circumstances.  Not to blame other people for my own problems.  God, music, books.  The list could go on, and on...

  16. Here's one I'll always remember.  When presented with new food she would say. "Just shut up and eat it, we'll talk about it later."  LOL  That phrase has always stuck with me.

  17. Yes, honey, she did teach us to be positive no matter what, huh?  Also, to find joy in little things.  She still does that.  She has joy and humor.  I love it!  Almost makes me want to do a journal entry on it like some people do for your question. Hmmm...thinking about it.  Do I have the energy today? lol  GREAT question!  Hey, perhaps you should do the same question about fathers near Father's Day?  Love ya, sissy! xox

  18. Like most of the answers here, it is hard to pick just one thing...when there are so many memories. Mom raised 4 daughters with lots of love and laughter. Respect for others, manners, love of books and old movies, football, nascar.   ~D
