Monday Morning Question:
We will make this an easy one for the 4th of July.
What is your favorite food to throw on the grill?
Why steak, of course! How about you?

Yep.... No Doubt I love a good steak. I know red meat is not suppose to be good for us. But I sorry, I love the beef. Chicken, Fish, Pork, its all very very good.
ReplyDeleteBut if I have my choice ?? Its Beef.
We over here on the UK call the grill you are refering to a Barbeque. We aint got one of those LOL.So we call a Grill part of a cooker that you do toast under. That said my Fav Grilled food has to be Sausages which can also be cooked in the Oven.

We'll be cooking out for family and friends today (provided the rain moves out) and my favorite thing will be where I cut up potatoes and vidalia onions, throw them in a (Reynolds) Hot Bag with lots of butter, salt and pepper. My mother-in-law, however, wants me to throw on her favorite thing...a (whole head?) of garlic! Ewe! LOL

steak, but pretty fond of kielbasa and burgers and well, shrimp and hot dogs...ok we like to eat!
ReplyDeleteYesterday evening I cooked 4 ounce steaks (sirlon, least expensive) and used tin foil , about 5 layers, 4 charred from past cooking, and one new layer, to keep the fire from getting to hot. On top of the steak I put chicken breasts. And then I put several tuna steaks upright around the sides. The steak was moist and tender. The tuna was delicious. And now I have them wrapped up in the refrigerator for several upcoming meals to be added with a course of soup, or with microwave entries of pasta lasanga, or sweet and sour chicken.

Hot dogs, pork roast and shrimp! But not all together. :o)

All 27 comments below sound wonderful. Love 'em all. But the one special BBQ i remember was when I visited my friend, a curator of Marineland of the Pacific. He hired fishing boats to collect specimens for the exhibits. He became firends with commercial fishermen. Once they GAVE him a special catch: swordfish.
ReplyDeleteDr. Ken Norris GRILLED that swordfish on the BBQ. What a fantastic feast.
