monday morning question

                                     

What commercial do you find the most annoying?

My answer:  The Verizon Wireless "Can You Hear Me Now" commercials.

    The commercial I find annoying is the ones with the caveman in them, I think promoting geico insurance....I can't remember.  Not sure, anyway.

    I would realy have loved to have answered this Krissi,but not living  in the states it is a little awkward.I did find all the adverts annoying when I was over there though,so many of them in between each program ,it would drive me potty LOL!! The few we get in between programs annoy me so much anyway Grrr.This was when I had no choise of going out as Son wanted to watch his favourite team play.I think it was the only time all the three weeks,I was there I rested a while.Still it gave me chance to rest my weary old legs Haaa.Great question I loved it.Hope you are both well and happy your pooter is working well.Yehhhhh.Take Care God Bless Kath

    The new Baskin Robbins commercials, so degrading to woman/moms especially the one where she is eating the vegetables off the plate....

    ALL OF THEM!!  I mute commercials or turn to another channel when a commercial is on.  It's a shame how many commercials are on TV now.  "Can You Here Me Now" doesn't bother me too much.  Hmm... can't think of one in particular that bothers me right now, but all in general.  Good question, love.  Oh, I went to the ER yesterday.  Got the missing piece for my nebulizer, a breathing treatment and a "Z" pack.  They treated me really well!  Feel rotten this morning, but I'll get better.  Not smoking!  LOL xox

    I'll go with the Verizon one also - that is such a crappy commercial. Now if you ask me what my favorite commercials are - has to be Bush Baked Beans with talking dog Duke, just love any commercial with Duke in it.  Have a good day. Arlene (AJ)

    Krissy, I dislike many of them but the commercial by Milwaukee Lite Beer where they drop cans and crush men and then try to promote the drinking only of their beer as a manly thing. . . the choice of which is to be  made instantly and unqualifiedly.  The ad should be banned immediately as  it promotes  the drinking of beer by young impressionpable boys, and perhaps girls.  . .  your dadio.    
          Also, I hate all those ads and previews at the end of TV's  TO BE A MILLIONAIRE, I think it is called, as they take up the last seven or eight minutes of the final nine minutes of every show.  You might  want to check it out if you think I am exaggerating.  Talk to you later.

    Good question! I currently have two: the first is for Comcast, the one with "televisiphonernetting." What makes me crazy about it is that the older gentleman is trying to speak to the young guy (his son? grandson?) and the younger guy ignores him, and the excuse is that he's teleblahblahblah. It just seems so disrespectful to me!

    The second is the one for Viagra, in which a bunch of guys are singing "Viva Viagra" to the tune of "Viva Las Vegas." Elvis was something special, and that commercial is just plain wrong. I've read that Lisa Marie isn't crazy about it, either, but she doesn't have the rights to the song because Elvis didn't write it.

    I'm a very easygoing person, but those two commercials just make my blood pressure rise!

    I love the caveman but not as much as the Gieko commercials... however this is a question of what you dont like. Head On! now that is a commercial worthy of the word hate... there is also a diet pill ad or some slim down thing that repeats "belly fat" all through out the commercial I dont recall the product but I cringe the way they keep saying cute on a woman???? ok everyone but I dont agree!

    The most annoying for me is the medical commercials these days. The ones who recommend you ask your doctor about the newest presciption that is out there for you. The commercials then go on in detail about the possible side effects. In the end the side effects are far worse than anything you need the prescription for to begin with. These days between the media and internet way too many people feel they can self diagnos themselves. (Hugs) Indigo

    Well with Medicare refusing to pay for Danny's emergency dental work to try to save his heart...and him dying last uyear of a massive heart attack..WHEN MEDICARE WILL PAY FOR PENILE IMPLANTS AND VIAGRA.....I ABOLUTELY HATE WITH A PASSION  THOSE IDIOT COMMERCIALS WITH THE STUPID MAN (BOB?) SMILING ABOUT HIS "MALE ENHANSMENT" ...THEY OUGHT TO BE TAKEN OFF TV.

    The commercial that I wish they'd just take off is the Erectile Dysfunction commercials.  All of us sit there looking uncomfortable..... I mean, sure, I feel bad for whoever has it, but I don't want to know about it.

    Do I have to pick just one???  HeadOn! Vaginal health, Flat Buns disgusts me, Erectile Dysfunction.  There are many more.     I hate all of the commercials for prescriptions...its like the doctor isn't in control of your health anymore...the TV is...and these drug companies rape people with the price of a prescription...it's just horrible....June:)

        My husband keeps telling me about drug commercials. He has a point. They are forced to list the side effects, and it just seems that they're worse than the cure is. I've heard of some that cause heart problems, and others that cause sexual addition and gambling. I think the drug companies would be better off twisting doctor arms instead of advertising to the general public.

    I hate commercials where they show cars going way over the speed limit and driving almost recklessly.  The commercials selling sporty cars.
