It's been a few days since I've made an entry. That's because I have been spending a lot of time trying to figure out my new digital camera. Well, it looks like even brain dead persons such as myself can figure some things out. I haven't gotten it completely figured out, but I managed to take some pictures, and I can download them onto the computer! I am so very excited! I am walking around like a kid with a brand new toy.
This of course is a photo of Michael. He likes to lay on mail. The postman throws the mail right through the slot into my living room, and Michael runs over and lays on it! He is claiming it I guess.
Some of you have been asking how Valerie is. I believe she is fine but just very tired. After she makes the long trip to Baltimore and back she is always tired. (We went on Monday.) She needs to conserve a lot of energy, and on days she does too much she gets very tired. But she is doing better now that she has her shunt. But she still has her real tiring days though.
Chelsea and I went out tonight and had some great fun. Just some aunt and neice time. Some girl time. We had a blast. We went out to eat and then to a movie.
I have talked to everyone in Florida now that Hurricane Jeanne is over. Everybody is ok. I asked Matt (Chelsea's brother) if he was doing ok. "What else could happen?" he replied. "We already lost our house and our things." He sounded a little resigned, but not bitter. I am glad they didn't lose their lives.
Chelsea said that rebuilding had begun on the house today (which of course if you remember has been totally demolished by one of the hurricanes). She said that mushrooms were growing out of the carpets and maggots were crawling out of the stuffed animals. Perhaps I should have given you a TMI warning on that one. Anyway, the whole househad to be taken down and started anew.
Well, that's about it for now. Oh, one more thing. John took a picture of me with my digital camera. If, and that's a big if, I have the guts to put the picture in with my new short haircut, I will put it in tomorrow. You see it is a spur of the moment pic with no makeup on. And the lighting wasn't the hottest. And it was the first pic he took ever. And I am afraid to have my picture taken. And, and, and... lol. Well, we shall see what kind of a mood I am in tomorrow, lol.
Peace and love, Krissy
