Monday morning question

Monday Morning Question

First I want to thank Betty for hosting the Monday Morning Question for the past three months while I was away.  And also for hosting the Photo Scavenger Hunt.  Thanks from the bottom of my heart.  You did a fantastic job!!!

Now for the Monday Morning Question:

Where did you meet your spouse?  If you are not married, where would you like to meet your spouse?

Answer below in the comments section, or answer in your journal and leave a link in the comments section below.

My answer:  John and I met at the Barnes & Noble coffee shop.  We had both just shopped for books.  You can't beat an intellectual. ;)

I met my partner Andy in the operating theatre where I worked. He'd just started as a student theatre nurse. I walked round a corner and there he was, as we first looked at each other all the fire alarms went off!! We didn't heed the warning and we've been together for nearly twenty one years!! 7. I met my husband at his senior prom.  We went to the same high school, but had never met.  I was a junior and he was a senior.  We were there with different dates.  That was 20 years ago and we will be married 14 years this May!

hi krissy! welcome back. thanks for your comments in my journal. I will write you an email detailing what worked for me...maybe it will help.
I met my husband (the first time) when I was 25, he came over to the apartment I was renting and installed a shower for my roommate ( who was his ex). I didn't see him again for 5 yrs. I was working at KDLH-TV and went across the street to a pie throwing contest. I saw this guy get a pie in the face and walked up to interview him. I found out he was "that guy" who had installed our shower. He said he had never forgotten me. We talked and set a date. 6 mos later we were engaged on the Seven Mile Bridge in the Florida Keys. 6 months after that we were married. (sept '04). He is truly my soul mate!!

  18. I see I'm not alone.  I met my spouse at church as well.  I was 17 and their family started attending.  All the girls my age group (me especially) were like 'who are they?' (referring to him and his older brother).  We went up to them after church, introduced ourselves, invited them to join our choir and youth group.  I soon saw him at my high school...got the courage to ask him to escort me for homecoming court...we started dating...and we've been together (for the most part) eversince!

  20. On a blind date - except I enquired about my "blind date" first lol. That first date, we met up in Thame High Street and drove to a little pub in Tetsworth, for a coke!
Ron asked me to go to a local dance with hime the following evening. Boy! I was on cloud nine, b ut kept getting "funny looks" from 2 of my friends: Years later Ron told me why that was - he'd made a date with all 3 of us - I was the lucky one, because my bus arrived 1st. Keep laughing.
