I haven't written since Friday because it has been hectic, to say the least. As a matter of fact, the past few days have seemed like a big whirlwind, one day quickly blending into the next. The minutes I have had off have been few and far between.
The reason is because John is quite ill. They can't find what is wrong with him. He has high fevers. Sometimes the fevers do go down a little, but now he has the fevers almost all the time. Sometimes I get scared, but what are you going to do? You must keep hope, or you will fall apart. So I really am ok.
I finally got a room at Hope Lodge. I looked around for local hotels but they had no vacancies. Then Hope Lodge called me out the blue and said, "Hurry up and get over here, we have a room for you!" I ran over there quickly. I hate to leave John at night, but I need the facilities such as showers, washing machine, etc. So I decided to go there nights.
Early this morning (about three hours ago), I awoke with a bad feeling. It was 2 am. I felt there was something wrong with John. So I called up Security for a ride. Security will drive you to the hospital if there is something wrong with a family member who is in the hospital. So Security drove me to be with John.
When I got to the hospital, I found John feverish (w/ a high temp.). He had ice bags on of ice on him. He had a headache and was achey allover. This happens every time John gets sick in the middle of the night. I sense it, and I leave from where I am staying, and and sure enough, I found out he is sick. Weird how that works.
Well, John's fever appears to be very low now. His nurse gave him ice packs and Tylenol, and some IV antibiotics. That is why I decided to come over to the computer room and write this entry while I had the chance.
Well, this entry has to be short, as I have to get back to John and make sure he is still ok. If you find mistakes in this entry then please forgive me. I am a little too tired to correct it. The next entry I do will be one in which I share more of my feelings and stuff. But right now I just have to get back. I just wanted to let you all know what has been going on.
Okay, that's it for now. I will try to get back as soon as I can. Take care you all.
Blessings, Krissy :)

Sissy, I am praying like crazy... Sorry I am missing your calls. I was sleeping for a couple of days. With alot of chaos, I had to catch up on sleep. Michael had NO knots in him when I brushed him yesterday. I can't find his brush, so mom gave me a comb. His medicine is helping him sooooooooo much. He is happy and he is a good, good kitty. He is much happier at mom's and dad's than he is at your place when you are gone. Glad you got into Hope Lodge. I will call you tonight on your cell... Much love Val xox

ReplyDeleteDear Krissy, I'm praying for John, and just wanna tell you, about a year and a half ago I got very sick, and ran fever of 100 to 103 and the fevers lasted for 6 weeks before they went below 100. Anyway, At the ER they discovered that my liver was not getting rid of the tylenol I had been taking all week before I went to the Doctor...andit damaged my liver...almost killed me. They think I had a virus not sure what type, but the tylenol just built up and I was taking it every 4 to 6 hours to get rid of fever and it was cause of the fever!!!!!! Cause my liver was dying! Tylenol toxicity (bad spelling) is what it's called after the fever started staying down (aprox. 4 weeks later) I woke up and could not see out of one of my eyes...I had a mini stroke and suffered some permanant vision loss due to a blood clot in my eye, {probably came from theliver damage and my liver trying to heal} it heals very slowly it took about 3 months to get better, 3 months of every 3days getting blood drawn for tests to check liver function. I discovered how valueable a liver is ...Like a brain in the middle of the body!!! So many things depend on it!!! I never knew! Diegestion...I couldn't eat for 6 weeks..only drank fluids and ate very little rice, potatos oatmeal...no meat!!!! no spice or oils. I hurt all over, had bad headaches and felt sick to my stomach, with ab. pain...Now Im OK and it was a long recovery, I thought I was going to die and no one knew why..except for the damage of tylenol...I will never take it again, only motrin or advil if I have to. Best wishes, I'll check in on you and John!!!! [[[[hugs]]]]]

Goodness, Krissy, add my prayers to the long list of others. Glad you got into the Hope Lodge. I've heard that people who are in tune with each other often experience a sense that something is wrong. I sure pray that they find the root of John's problems. You have to be so relieved that your mom and Val are able to care for Mr. Michael. Love and Hugs to you and John, Chris
