Lucy, we're homeeeeeee!

Ugghhhhh!  Lost this entry to the black hole.  Starting again!

I was just telling you all how good it is to be home.  John and I got here last night.  It is soooo good to be here!

John should have his pneumonia for three to four weeks more.  He is still in a lot of pain, and has to lay down a lot.  But at least we are home.  I am so enjoying it here, and he likes to be home too.

Yesterday's ride home from the hospital was so much fun.  Val's boyfriend (we call him John2) and Valerie picked John and me up from the Hospital in Hershey and drove us home.  Then the four of us sang Christmas carols on the way home!  It was a blast.

Last night I heard my first Christmas song on the radio.  And today I bought my first Christmas presents!  Just a couple of little things.

I also got my first EVER IN MY LIFE call on my cell phone.  It was from Val!  She told me she loved me and to have a good day!

I would have gotten a call days earlier, but the cell phone was never set up correctly by those who sold me the cell phone.  I had to call the service no., and they did something to activate the ring yesterday, LOL.  And they also did something to give me the ability to retrieve my voice mail.  All that time people were calling me and I had no way of picking up their calls.

Oh, and I was pretty electronically illiterate too, LOL.  I wasn't getting calls after that for another reason, LOLOLOL.  Valerie noticed why.  I didn't have my cell turned on, LOL.  Val told me I had to turn it on, and keep it on when I wanted calls.  I didn't know that, LOLOLOL.  Oh well, you live and learn!  So Val finally called and now I know it works, LOLOLOL.

Okay, gotta run.  John is having some trouble, and the dishes are awaitin' me.  I have to pretend to be a housewife, LOL.  Just long enough to make it back to this computer again, LOL.  Actually, I am not a bad housewife, it is just that I have been away from this computer for so long, there is so much I want to do on here!  Arggghhhh, computer withdrawl from my very own computer!  I would like to spend about a day on here, LOL.  Maybe two!  Okay, now that my little confession is done, I gotta run.

Love you all, Krissy :)

  6. So glad to hear you're home.  I keep my cell phone on all the time, at night it's on the floor next to my bed plugged in to re-charge.  And I never leave home without it.  They are good to have along incase of an emergency.  My cordless home phone is no good in a power outage, but my cell phone wouldn't be bothered by that.  And by plugging it into the charger at night, it's always ready to go.  Enjoy your evening and I hope John is feeling better soon.  Hugs to you both,  Linda in Washington state

  7. I have to be shown how to use any new electronic device...BY MY KIDS!  I don't even know how to program numbers in my cell phone; I always have to grab a kid to do it for me.  And, yes, they all laugh at me!  But they do it, so I am happy.  Have fun with your cell phone!  What plan do you have?  I have T-Mobile.  Welcome home, by the way!  Love, Jae

  11. So glad you are home Krissy!!  Lets make this a long term stay this time.  Funny about the new phone.  Don't get me started about the 6th grade graduates that they have working in the cell phone stores that set your phones up.  I went round and round with my company several years ago when they screwed up my account so bad that I wanted to toss the phone in a river.  It took a year, but they got it all straightened out.

  17. WELCOME BACK!! There is truly no place like home. I hope John gets to feeling better. We are all praying for him and you. I know about the cell phone deal. It took me a few days to get used to ours. I didn't even know how to answer it one time when it rang during that initial learning period. One time, I did press the answer button, but didn't realize that I had, and in my frustration, I cursed as I searched for the right button to push. My son was on the other end, hearing it all. I was so embarassed. I told him I hated the stupid cell phone, and I apologized for the words he heard. He chuckled, said it was no problem. Then he asked me if I was stressed out. Yeah, I believe I was! God bless you both.  Bea

  21. Glad to see you both home again Krissy! I had awful trouble with a cell phone I bought, I didn't know how to answer it, got so many calls which would just ring and ring, a year later I realised I had to press the green button to talk! I threw it away eventually, nobody ever called me except a friend a couple of times, I hadn't given my number to anyone! Lol! Jeannette xx
