I don't think there is anything on tv in the uk that was on when i was a child in the 50's. What passes as tele here now is absolute rubbish except for the odd programme.

I catch a show now and again on Nick at Night or TV Land. I don't know that I watch one regularly. Umm... I like I Love Lucy, Leave it to Beaver. LOL Some of the old cartoons are great like The Flintstones. Great question! I am probably forgetting something that I watch. I do like Little House, too! Love, Val xox

there was no TV back in the stone ages, when I was a kid. LOL Seriously I do watch something I can catch on cable occasionally. Hogan's Heroes, Lucy, Bewtiched, Beaver, etc. I love to watch classic cartoons with the girls.

ReplyDeleteKrissy, When I have time I sometimes watch Perry Mason or Bonanza. If I can find All in the Family I watch that. I would rather read a good book than watch TV . Years ago I watched all the cowboy shows. Myke

That's easy... Scooby Doo. And I still watch Charlies Angels whenever I happen to catch it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are Little House on the Prarie and Waltons, I also watch Leave It To Beaver and I Love Lucy. The other day they had the Flying Nun on. Sometimes u can find the Partridge family also, which i like to watch. Although, this was not on when I was a child, one of my very favorites is Touched by an Angel. This is a great question. Very rarely you can also find Our Miss Brooks which I really liked and the Real McCoys and My Little Margie.

ReplyDeleteHappy Days
Highway to Heaven
Perry Mason(it was on in re-runs then too)
Laverne and Shirley

Scooby Doo, Nash Bridges, Kokaj,Leave It To bearver when I come across it, Andy Griffith, The Jeffersons. There is more putcan't think of them at the mopment.
ReplyDeleteHI Krissy- I love to watch the Waltons with my son who also loves that show. We have all the first 3 seasons on dvd and he watches them all the time. Have a Blessed week! Love Carolyn :)
ReplyDeletewhy has no one said the Brady Bunch???? "Marcia Marcia Marcia!" "Oh No MY NOSE!" I will always love this show... I forget to watch old shows and don't often see them listed so I forget to watch them. I'm a big fan of teen shows which I admit makes me a giant moron... so I watch things for kids that were not during my childhood at all such as Degrassy High or My So Called life, and cartoons like Hey Arnold or Wild Thornberrys ....
ReplyDeleteLITTLE HOUSE AND THE PRARIE, ATEAM, HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN, WALTONS LOADS MORE BUT I CANT THINK OFF HAND

I am laughing. When I was a child, there WAS no TV. I listened to Jack Armstrong, the All American Boy, Orphan Annie, The Green Hornet, The Shadow on radio though. None of those shows survive. Superman is still around though in new form.
ReplyDeleteOther science fiection was Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, and Flash Gordon. Those were comic strips as was Dick Tracy.
Also I remember the first comic book I ever saw. It was Mickey Mouse comics. Later came Famous Funnies that reproduced the Sunday comic strips in smaller format.
But childhood TV....nope
