this one's about me!

Hi you all.  Sorry it took so long to get back to writing an entry.  I feel bad because I didn't want to leave you all hanging.  But what happened was, after John was discharged from the hospital the other day, my body just didn't allow me to do a whole lot for a couple of days.  I couldn't even muster the strength to do an entry.

I didn't realize that the week John was in the hospital I was running on pure adrelalin, going and going because I had to.  When John was finally discharged, I woke up the next day, and I felt so exhausted I wanted to sleep for a week.  I also had the beginnings of bronchitis, but that appears to be gone now.

I guess it is like when you summon everything to get through something, and then when you don't need to be alert for that anymore, you tell your body it can let go and work on itself now.  Gee, I didn't realize my own body needed taking care of as well as John's.  So what's new about that, LOL.

At any rate, I am feeling better now.  I have taken cat naps over the past few days, and I slept beautifully last night.  I have enjoyed John's company and feel at peace.  And I have my kitty back!

I watched the snow fall outside my window last night.  We have a Christmas tree (artificial, my favorite!) now and are going to set it up soon!  Wait till you see what it looks like!

We had the cable installed in our apartment and can now watch TV (we had not watched for a couple of months, LOL).  John and I like to drink hot drinks (I drink tea and John drinks coffee) while watching the news.  I am going to see if I can find any Claymation Christmas specials on this month!  Or any of the classics.  Yes, I am at peace, and am feeling good now.

Okay, so like, this entry started out to be about John.  Now I have to go do one about him, LOL.

Love you all,

  1. Glad you are feeling so much better Krissy and you were able to get some rest.  Snow?????? Wow.  They say no snow for us this winter, just wet and windy.  Right now the winds are 70 mph and screaming around our home but the rain has stopped for a while.

  5. It sounds lovely and pleasant to be back in your home together, sipping hot drinks!  We got a lot of snow yesterday - about a foot, in fact!!  this was our first big snowfall of the year and it was fun watching it pile up.  I get sick of it around April, but right now it's still fun.

    Have a wonderful Sunday!
    hugs

  7. =D!!  This entry made me happy!  I have found the Grinch on twice already!  Cool!  I have a search on my tv and I can set alerts so I am lucky.  I can search the movies, too, so I can find all the Christmas specials on.  I will call you when a good movie or special is on, okay?  Or send you an email.  Isn't it great to relax with your honey and watch Christmas specials?  Love ya! xox

  9. You deserve a little rest.  We got a little snow last night but it's warmed up here today.  I love all the different hot drinks...coffee, tea, cocoa, chai teas and many more...flavored unflavored and all.  In the summer I'm all about cold ones, but now I can enjoy  them hot,  I often add a candy cane to my drinks too, adds a delicious flavor.  'On Ya' - ma

  11. Make sure to take care of yourself. When I was in nursing school, they told us we were running on adrenaline for 2 years...and when it was over that they could almost guarantee that we'd get sick within 6 months. I got pneumonia, and was on two courses of antibiotics.  Sure enough....one by one....each of my classmates got seriously sick after graduation. And it also took us each 6 months to feel "normal" again.
Your body provides energy to get you through whatever stressor you're dealing with....but when it's done...look out!! So make sure to eat right, and take care of YOU so you can care for John.
    Hugs to you both..

  19. Krissy,

So glad you've taken some time to rest up from all you've been through lately!  This is so important! Things like this take so much out of you that ending up exhausted is inevitable.  Glad you're feeling rested, rejuvenated, and at peace!  What more could one ask!

    God is good!
