monday morning question

What have you learned in the past month?

My answer:

I've learned my town won't take down their Christmas lights!

I've also learned that I'm finally open to begin making some changes in my life that I wasn't willing (or able?) to make before.  I am open to more possibilities now, and I'm less afraid of succeeding.  This makes me very happy.

How about you?  What's your answer?

Krissy :)

  1. hmm... I've learned that I'm not willing to put too much fuel in the air anymore (save the planet!).  I learned that I still can't get enough energy to get my home straightened up.  I learned that I still like who I am and am still growing... cool question, Krissy!  Love, me xox

  2. I've learned that doctors are human...no matter how much knowledge they have on a subject...they still make mistakes.  If the Lord can be merciful and gracious, I believe that's the least I can do for those around me.

Thanks for the thought provoking question, Krissy! ~ Jamie

  3. good question, Krissy; can't believe Christmas lights are still up in your area.

I've learned that people think Koda has big ears and that Koda is not fond of the rain.

I've also learned that God is still with me even though I thought I had "lost" him somewhere

hope you are feeling a bit better today

  10. Hiya Krissy..............what have i learned?  Possibly to more tolerant and think before i act!!  I know I should've known that all along but I've only recently said something and wished I hadn't.  I hurt the person quite badly and felt guilty for it afterwards for ages.

  14. Really good question.  When we stop learning we start declining.  The ONE MONTH part of the question was revealing.  Many peoplel said they learning things LAST MONTH that they surely knew before.  I learned that I don't read all the instructions before I act... I did Val's word game poorly because I didn't read all the instrucitions...BUT. that was not new.
I found that I cannot change the behavior of old folks no matter how hard I try nor how hard I work at it... but I am sure I knew that before, too.
I found I was sentimental about some things I thought I didn;t care about, and I found that I was NOT sentimental about some things that I thought I was.  But there is nothing NEW about those either.
I guess I haven't changed much in past month...well, I leaned THAT, anyway.

  15. Ive learned that long distance relationships are hard. That men like whats easy sometimes, as in a woman close to them and that women go far greater distances in life for the sake of love. I also learned that I can pick myself up and dust myself off as usual and move ahead without blinking an eye. Sad things to remember rather then learn for the first time but a lesson review seemed nessary.

I learned that best friends are a wonderful thing to have. That sisters like Krissy are a joy in my life. Im a lucky woman to have her. I learned that life can be exciting if you want it to be. That designer purses are not all they are cracked up to be even if they are very pretty.

I learned that ricota cheese is very good on a pizza, and that potatos au gratin are very easy to make home made and can even be a bit healthy.

I learned that the sonic tooth brush from walgreens* is amazing and around fifty bucks. That diet rootbeer and splenda bryers vanilla ice cream 100 calories for half cup, in which case I do a full cup can be a reasonable and very tasty desert that doesnt make me feel too guilty to indulge in often.

ok thats what Ive learned... or relearned

  17. I have learned that no matter what I do or have done for my step dad he does not appreciate it. I am learning again to keep still and not regret saying something that would hurt him and in the long run hurt me too. Being still is such a hard thing to do, but it is possible with the help of the Lord. Learning how someone can take what you do for them, or what you say, and twist it into something that makes you look bad. People are not always what they seem to be. :-(  Good question. God Bless, Janie

  18. I've learned that my husband's Altzheimer's disease affects my life in ways I had not anticipated. I can no longer trust him with the least errand. It is a good thing that my first recognizable sentence (according to my mother) was "I do it myself."

  19. In the last month I have learnt that sometimes good things do happen.  I'm trying to learn to accept that people like/love me, without needing constant reassurance.  That one's a difficult one!

  20. LOL on your town.  My parents don't take their down either. I'm just glad they don't turn them on anymore!!

    Love your other answer

Mine is... you can't always get what you want and you have to accept that.  You can't change other's only yourself and if the relationship is worth it.. I will change for it.. if not.. forget it! ;)

    Love ya,

  24. Krissy, I learned that my cholesterol is 208m it's NEVER been over 180. But the good is what's high and so that's not so bad. My low cholesterol is where it should be and my tri's are good.  Oh, and I don't have diabetes, I have a fasting blood sugar of almost 70.  I was happy about that.  I also learned I now have 18 lb. I want to lose, my doctor says I am fine, but sometimes you have to do things for yourself.  I am small boned and I don't need ANY extra weight.  I am ready for your weight loss suggestions that you told me you'd tell me about, Krissy.

    Love you,
    Merry

  25. I've learned not to live my life for the weekends.  I've found out that life is passing by so fast to begin with and wishing for the weekend is just wishing my life away faster.  I'm trying to savor each day as it comes even though I hate working five days a week...lol.  Love you, Chris
