  6. My first name means "God's gracious gift". My full name, maiden and married, could be translated to "Rejoice in God's gracious gift from the hill farm".

My first name refers to a fertile plain near the coast of Isreal.  It also is the name of a flowring shrub "The rose of Sharon".  My name Trees is of Dutch Origin, and means Theresa which is appropriate as I use this name in honour of a young girl who died of cancer and her name was Theresa.

    LINDA
    Gender: Feminine

    Usage: English

    Pronounced: LIN-da   [key]

This name could be derived from several sources. It could be from Spanish linda meaning "beautiful"; it could be a short form of BELINDA or MELINDA; or it could be a short form of Germanic names ending with the element linde meaning "soft, tender".

My name is Amy.  It's of Latin origin, and it means "beloved."  :-)
If you switch the letters of my name around, you can spell the month in which I was born, too, lol.

Btw, Julia, according to my baby name book, your name means "youthful" or "Jove's child."  It's of Latin origin, too.

    Blessings,

  16. my name is Jennifer and it means the same as Guinivere (spelt wrong LOL) -  Old French form of the Welsh name Gwenhwyfar, which is composed of the elements gwen meaning "fair, white" and hwyfar meaning "smooth". In Arthurian legend she is the beautiful wife of King Arthur. Her betrayal of her husband with Mordred prompted the battle of Camlann, which led to the deaths of both Mordred and Arthur. Later versions of the legends tell of her adulterous affair with Sir Lancelot.

  17. Hiya Krissy,
My name is LuAnne.  I was named after my maternal grandfather Louis.  Also my mom used the first initial L of my name to satisfy my paternal grandmother Laura.  But her real intent was to name me after LuAnn Simms who was a singer, recording artist & member Godfrey show cast.

The meaning of my name is from the German.  It means graceful female warrior.

    LOL

Okay, it's Friday and I am finally getting here.  Still playing catch up.  My name means "consecrated to God" and is derived from Elizabeth.  It is truly fitting for me.  I love God so much and am thankful for my name.  A good name is important.

  23. I don't go by my first name online or in real life, lol.  However, it means "Wise Protector" which is not a far stretch from the person I've become for those I love and care about.  I don't stand behind the line when I see someone being bullied and will step up and try to right the wrong.  Sometimes to my detriment, lol.  Oh well.
