What are you doing for St. Patrick's Day? Wearing green? Making corned beef and cabbage? Pinching somebody who doesn't have green on?
Or is it just another day to you?
My answer: I am Irish, not just on St. Patrick's Day! So I really celebrate! I am going to wear green, and make some corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes in the crock pot. And you better watch out, if you're near me and you are not wearing green, I might pinch you!
Krissy :)
I love Green, so i will be wearing green for sure, corned beef and cabbage sounds great think i will go get some and make it. Have a great St. Paddy's Krissy.
ReplyDeleteI am Irish. Growing up we never did anything since my adopted family is not Irish. I always felt sad about that. Since having kids I make a point of doing something, although the holiday always feels misplaced to me. So, I am wearing Green, will go to lunch with Scott and have green beer. Going out to get stuff for corn beef, cabbage and potatoes :)
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patricks day my sweet Friend :)

(((((((((((((KRISSY)))))))))))))))))))))I am Irish to.
ReplyDeleteHmm... I don't own much green because I don't like how it looks on me. I struggle to find green to wear on St. Patty's Day. I however WILL find some to wear somewhere on my body. LOL I did find some wonderful corned beef to cook up!! YUM!! Always a fave of mine. Now, to just find that yummy soda bread that mom used to buy when we were kids. It is so hard to find. Well, you can find it, but it doesn't taste as good as when we were kids. Or were things just better in my memories?? LOL Happy St. Patty's to you!!!! Erin Go Bragh!! Love, Val O' Sister xox

I made corned beef and cabage yesterday as I had to work today, but I will be wearing green.
ReplyDeleteI'm not Irish, but become one on St. Patty's Day. Dinner wise - we're being lazy, hubby Jerr is picking up our corn beef and cabbage dinners at Cracker Barrel for us to enjoy. We didn't want to be tempted with too much corn beef leftover since we both watch our salt intake, so thought this was a good way to go. I've got my green slacks and top on as I type. I'm a Polish girl who becomes Irish for the day. Arlene (AJ)
ReplyDeleteI've got a wee bit of Irish in me from my dad's side. I won't be cooking corned beef and cabbage like my dad would do - and I will MISS it once again. No one else in my family likes the stuff - just me. As for green - I'll have a little green on. :-)

I've got a wee bit of Irish in me but I'm afraid I'm not even wearing green today. I don't own anything green! LOL
ReplyDeleteMissie
Let's see . . . I will probably wear a green shirt today. The corned beef and cabbage will have to be postponed for another day because we are going to drive 700 miles today to go south to pick up my stuff. Since I, too am part Irish, we will be celebrating in some way or another all day long. Blessings and love, Penny http://journals.aol.com/firestormkids04/FromHeretoThere

Well, I am not Irish. It is just another day for me. But I'm glad a lot of folks have fun with it. Merry

ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patrick's Day!

My mom is Irish. I usually wear green but forgot. My son hates corned beef and cabbage. My mom usually does a pot of that with potates mixed in but she's sick also :( Oh, well, sort of a lackluster year this year. Love ya, Chris
